I purchased it based on the following features:
- It is a smart HDTV, LED - 60Hz and this year's model available at considerably better price as compared to even last year models with similar features. Though, I would have been very happy if I could have closed the deal at $ 650 :-p
I did see the earlier reviews for this TV but most seemed like user training issues.
The sound/picture quality is excellent. Picture quality will seem dull with the eco friendly setting of Standard. However, it is configurable per your liking and the user manual is very effective in identifying and setting up your needs. 3 HDMI + 2 USB available
Setting up Network/WI FI is also very easy.
Depending on Internet speed, the smart TV works good. Youtube videos does not stream so fast for me directly through the TV but when I connect to my... Read more

Random shut down and no flash support, bad Samsung customer service, March 30, 2012 By GI "Ramblin' Man" (Oregon) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Samsung UN32EH5300 32-Inch 1080p 60 Hz LED HDTV (Black) (Electronics) Update 4/9/12: Samsung service offered to service the TV finally; however, due to the size their is no on site service. I would have had to take it to a place about 20 miles away from my house. I finally have had enough of trying to debug Samsung TV issues. I returned both of the 5300's that exhibited the exact same issues. Hooray for Amazon return policies and ease of sending back defect products.
SHAME ON SAMSUNG!

Update 4/8/12: Samsung service blamed my electrical in my house for ALL my issues (although they have never been here.) House is less than two years old, All other Samsung TVs that I have plugged in have NO issues (three other total). I took the TV to another person's house and sure enough the same issues occurred. So I guess If I call Samsung back the issue will be with the power delivery in a large metro area... Read more

HDTV with major glitches, April 1, 2012 By This review is from: Samsung UN40EH5300 40-Inch 1080p 60 Hz LED HDTV (Black) (Electronics) Got the TV couple of days back.Looks good but not a sleek design.It doesn't matter to me .The picture is great so is the sound.Got lot of options and features in this Smart TV.The price may be a little too much at this time, since it's a new model from Samsung.Apart from the price and the size(Like a LCD Tv because of its size)the TV is just amazing so far.Right now I'm using this TV only for streaming movies from VUDU and movies from my PC through the built in LAN.No buffering or whatsoever.Have loads of features,haven't explored all of the features.But navigating the remote is a real junk for web browsing.Flash doesn't work fully as described in the TV features.There was no sound in the site which i browsed using flash.Tried watchespn.com, but could not play the stream.So browsing the web and streaming videos is not entirely complete.
Apart from these few glitches, TV is good.I forgot to mention one thing.My TV shut down a couple of times automatically on the first day, but... Read more
